Ordering and Delivery Timeline for Stocked Items and Cartridges
This article explains the typical order processing and delivery timeline for stocked items and cartridges based on standard handling procedures.
Summary
- Orders for items that are not currently in stock are ordered from our supply warehouses and can have an estimated lead time of 2–3 working days.
- Orders can only be issued, dispatched or ordered once payment has been made and payment has cleared.
Order processing and timeline
- Confirm order details
- The buyer confirms product selection and provides required company and contact details so an invoice can be created. Typical required details include company name, contact person, email address, contact number, VAT number and delivery address.
- Invoice and payment
- A Pro-Forma invoice is created and sent to the customer for payment.
- We will only issue, dispatch, or place the stock order after payment has been made and cleared.
- Ordering stock (when items are not on hand)
- If an item is not held in stock, it is ordered from the supplier.
- Estimated supplier lead time for ordered stock is 2–3 working days.
- Dispatch or collection
- Once payment has cleared and stock has been ordered/received, the supplier will proceed with dispatch.
- Collection by the customer is a possible option to discuss with the supplier (customers commonly ask about collection or expedited delivery).
Practical notes for faster delivery
- Provide complete and accurate company and delivery details immediately when confirming the order to avoid delays in creating the invoice.
- Make payment promptly and ensure funds have cleared to enable the supplier to place or dispatch the order without delay.
- If an urgent requirement exists, notify the supplier when confirming the order to discuss available options.
Conclusion
- Typical timeline for out-of-stock items is: confirm details → pay and wait for cleared payment → supplier orders stock (2–3 working days lead time) → dispatch or collection after stock and payment conditions are met.
